How it works

From one sentence to finished work.

Here is what happens between telling your chief of staff what you need and the work landing in front of you, ready to review.

The five steps

Here is what happens after you hit send.

Step 1 of 5

Say what you need.

Type or talk to your chief of staff in your own words. There is no prompt to get right and nothing to set up first.

You type the request
Step 2 of 5

Your chief of staff picks the team member.

It knows which team member does what and hands the job to the right one. You can see who has it and what they are working on.

The job is handed off
Step 3 of 5

No team member for the job? It builds one.

When you do not have a team member for the work, your chief of staff creates one, gives it a name and a role, and puts it to work. Your plan sets your seats: 3 on Pro and 20 on Business.

A new team member appears
Step 4 of 5

The work happens inside your workspace.

Team members work from your inbox, calendar, tasks, files and memory, so they have the context they need. Routines run on a schedule. You can close the app.

Your workspace lights up
Step 5 of 5

Then it reaches out to you.

When there is something to report, your team tells you on Telegram, Slack or push notification. Ask for drafts when you want to read first.

Your phone buzzes

Already connected

Everything your team members need is already in the workspace.

You do not wire anything together. Your inbox, tasks, calendar, files, memory, routines and content studio are part of Operly, so your team members can use them from the very first request.

On Pro and Business, your team members also get a workspace computer to build sites, fill in forms and check the web.

You stay in charge

Your team drafts. You decide.

Ask for drafts and you read them, change a word or two and send. Your voice and your relationships stay yours.

On Pro and Business you can also watch your team members work on the computer and take over at any time.

Try it: edit or approve a draft

Welcome to the team

Hi Priya, welcome aboard! Here is what your first week looks like, and I will check in on Tuesday to see how it is going.

Questions

Do I have to choose which team member handles a request?

No. Your chief of staff routes it. You can also work with a team member directly if you prefer.

What happens if I ask for something no team member is set up for?

Your chief of staff can create a new team member for the job, name it and give it a role. Your plan sets the number of seats.

Will Operly act without my approval?

Ask your team members for drafts and read each one first. Your team carries out the sends you ask for, so ask for drafts when you want to read first.

Take one thing off your plate today.

Start with the work that keeps coming back. Tell your chief of staff, and see how it feels to have it done.
